Arm lift or Brachioplasty, tightens the skin and muscles in the arms by removing excess skin and adipose tissue that is sagging downward with age, weight gain, or excessive weight loss. Depending on each individual case the doctor might recommend adding liposuction to the operation.

ARM LIFT -BRACHIOPLASTY- SURGERY

Any patient with sagging in the arm can undergo the surgery, including normal-weight patients. For patients who are overweight and have an excess of adipose tissue,we advise them to have liposuction surgery in addition to arm lift.
VASER may be effective if there is no excess skin and may be sufficient to achieve the desired results. However, it is crucial to remove skin in patients with excessive skin and weaker supportive tissue.
Avoiding smoking before surgery reduces the risk of complications and improves scar healing. The surgery takes about 3 hours and is all under general anesthesia.

After the operation, the doctor would recommend wearing special corset for the first month. Also there should be limitation of arm movements during that time period,whereas resumption of usual activity can be on average 7-10 days later.

Applying of incisions after the removal of fat cells/excess skin that extends from the elbow to the armpit and sometimes to the chest, with the arm on the inside. Liposuction may be added to the operation.

ARM STRETCHING SURGERY

Can be permanent solution for any patient suffering from sagging of the arm, including patients with normal weight. Most of the patients have sagging of the arm skin due to excessive weight loss. Liposuction is also additive for patients who are overweight and have sagging skin and excess fat tissue.

VASER can be effective in patients with excess fat in the upper arm, if there is no excess skin. Obtaining the fat oil from those areas and therefore thinning the arm while tightening some amount of skin.

However, in patients with skin laxity, it is inevitable to remove it along with fat. The scar may be confined to the arm and armpits, but may extend to the anterior chest wall in patients who lose excess weight and increase excess skin to the chest.

Stopping smoking prior to surgery increases wound healing rate by reducing the risk of complications.

The operation takes about 3 hours under general anesthesia.
